These terms and conditions (including our Shipping, Returns and Privacy Policies) govern the use of our website. By using our website (healthhut.co.nz) or purchasing goods from our website (healthhut.co.nz) you are agreeing to abide by our terms and conditions.

We/our/Health Hut means us. We are Health Hut NZ Limited, a New Zealand owned company, trading as Health Hut.

$NZ and GST

The prices on our website are in New Zealand dollars and include GST at the current rate. All prices are exclusive of shipping costs. Prices and shipping costs are subject to change without notice.

Currency

By default and unless otherwise changed by you, the prices on our website are in New Zealand Dollars. Its very important to note your transaction will be settled at the current exchange rate set by the respective payment processor chosen by you at time of purchase. The converted price may differ slightly to prices shown at Health Hut website who use a couple of currency aggregates.

Methods of payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, PayPal and Alipay for all orders. If you’d prefer to pay using an alternative credit card, simply select ‘Paypal’ at checkout. You do not need a Paypal account and can proceed as a guest to complete your order. A range of credit cards are accepted via Paypal including Amex and JCB.

Security of payment

The Health Hut website itself uses the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information as it is transmitted over the internet. This encryption scrambles details such as credit card number, billing details and shipping address so that other computers are unable to decipher the information, ensuring privacy and security.

We automatically enforce SSL to make sure you are accessing a secure server. However, as a general rule, when you venture away from healthhut.co.nz to enter your credit card details, always check for the unbroken key or closed lock symbol located generally either at the bottom left, bottom right or top left of your browser window. If this appears, then SSL is active.

We have partnered with Payment Express, PayPal to provide one of the most secure payment methods available.

Purchases subject to availability

All products are sold subject to availability. We do our best to make you aware of any products that are out of stock. However, in some rare cases a product sells out simultaneously, meaning that the last remaining stock of a product may have sold to another customer while your order was being processed. You may have purchased multiple units of a product when only one was available.

We will email you in the unlikely event that you’ve ordered a product that is temporarily out of stock. You must have chosen a popular one. We will let you know how long it will take on backorder or if you prefer we can refund the relevant purchase amount or provide an alternative product – your choice.

Legals

We may change these terms and conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the site for you to check out.

Technically you offer to purchase goods by your online order and we accept only when we dispatch the goods to you. We reserve the right to decline your order in exceptional cases.

You’re also taking full liability for personal injury, damages, punitive measures, lost profit or revenues, loss of use of product or equipment and any loss of property that may result from the purchase, use or misuse of any product purchased from this website. All Health Hut associated owners, agents, contractors, employees and 3rd Party suppliers cannot be held responsible for the actions of its customers.

Our terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. If for any reason, any of our terms and conditions is unenforceable, the others will still apply.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date they are issued. We cannot offer change on the use of vouchers. Gift vouchers are not refundable and must be used to purchase product not another voucher.

Competitions

By participating in a competition hosted by Health Hut you agree to have your email address added to our database. You can unsubscribe from this at a later date but we doubt you’ll want to. You also agree to us publishing your name if you’re lucky enough to win. One entry per person per competition, of course. Prizes are non-transferable and not exchangeable. We maintain the right to supply alternative prizes of equal value if the advertised prize is not available at the relevant time. Competitions may have unique conditions, particularly to location, shipping, age and amounts.

This website is protected by copyright and all copyright, trade marks, logos and other intellectual property rights for the content of our website are the property of Health Hut or its suppliers. Any use, printing or copying of materials on the site, other than in the course of browsing, selecting products and ordering from Health Hut, is strictly prohibited.

We provide a range of shipping options depending on your shipping address. All orders will be sent to the shipping address you specify on the checkout form and you can expect your order to arrive quickly and in great condition.

Not all courier packages will require a signature upon delivery so be sure to specify a safe place to leave your parcel in your “order notes” at checkout, or better still, give an address you’ll be at during working hours – that way, you’ll avoid the “card to call” scenario.

Stock

We understand that a great purchasing experience is all about how quickly we can deliver it. If we have the products you order in stock, we’ll dispatch your order within 24 Hours. We will email you promptly in the unlikely event that you’ve ordered a product that is temporarily out of stock and how long it will take on back order.

Order Tracking

Order tracking is available and details will be provided to you by email once the order has been processed. A signature will be required upon delivery so consider specifying a work address to avoid the “card to call scenario”.

There are special times of the year when things get very busy, so we’ll provide notice on the website about dates to have your order processed. If an order is placed after these dates we cannot guarantee delivery for that public holiday event. For example Christmas/Easter/Valentines/Mothers/Fathers Day presents.

If you have any problems regarding your order, please contact us and we’ll check on its progress as far as we can.

Free Shipping

FREE New Zealand, Australia and China shipping is provided on orders that meet certain criteria. This criteria may apply to a total order amount. We reserve the right to change this criteria at anytime and without notice. For orders that do meet certain criteria, your shipping will be calculated at checkout before you pay. We welcome international orders and we’re positive customers with a strong currency will no doubt enjoy shopping with us.

Seven Day Rule

We will meet all our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act New Zealand.

You may return any unopened item* that is still in its original packaging to Health Hut within SEVEN DAYS of receipt of your order (as recorded by the courier) for an exchange, refund or store credit. We can only process returns and refunds for items purchased from Health Hut. Please contact us first to receive your special Return Code.

Please ensure goods for exchange arrive in “as new” condition, items that cannot be resold will not be exchanged.

To return a product simply:

  1. Please contact us to let us know you want to return something; We will send you a special Return Code.
  2. Package it up with your online invoice, return code and post it to PO Box 317021, Hobsonville, Auckland, New Zealand (sorry this will be at your cost unless the product is faulty);
  3. Provided we receive it within 7 days in its unopened, unused and undamaged condition, we will arrange for the original purchase price to be refunded. Please give us 10 days from us receiving the goods to process this.

Better luck next time.

If you’re item is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible. In this case we will replace or refund (your call) and we’ll pick up the postage costs too.

After the 7 days we will honour our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where you have purchased goods as a consumer (i.e. not for a business).

Please ensure goods for exchange arrive in “as new” condition, items that cannot be resold will not be exchanged.

Health Hut is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use your personal information lawfully and strictly in accordance with the Privacy Act.

Collection of personal information

When you register an account, make a purchase, subscribe to our newsletter or enter any competition or promotion we may collect the following information about you: your name, email address, telephone number, mobile number, date of birth and shipping address.

We use your information to process your order and contact you if there is a problem with your order. We may also use it to provide you with relevant product information, to assist in the development of new products and to improve the website and your shopping experience.

Security of information

Your personal information and order information retained by us is held on a secure password protected database.

Updating your personal information

You can update your personal. shipping and account information within your account section on the website.

Non-disclosure of personal information

Health Hut never passes on, sells or distributes your personal information to anyone else (except of course your address to the company delivering your parcel).

Customer communications

We will communicate with you about your order by email or telephone.

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, register an account or purchase from us we will email you from time to time to keep you posted on new products, upcoming promotions or competitions and great grooming tips. If at any time you do not want these, you can unsubscribe (see the link at the bottom of any Health Hut email).

Website usage information and re-marketing

We also collect information on how our website is being used. This is non-personal information (as it does not identify you) that is collected by Google Analytics, is analysed by us, and used to improve the value of our website to you the customer. Google Analytics may also use cookies (e.g. the double click cookie and the google analytics cookie) to serve adverts on our behalf based on a person’s past visits to our site.

Privacy concerns

If you have any concerns about the privacy of your personal information please contact us.

Customs and import regulations vary widely between countries. Some of the products we sell via this website are prohibited for importation into certain countries. Unfortunately, it’s not possible for us to be aware of all of the regulations specific to any given country. Where we are aware of any particular import restrictions, we endeavour to make note of this on the product detail page.

We are aware of some restrictions in place on ordering honey of greater than 2kg to EU countries – we suggest you check with your countries Customs Office or other government body before placing any honey orders over 2kg to EU countries.

Responsibility

It’s entirely your responsibility to ensure that any goods which you order will not be shipped to a country where these goods are prohibited/restricted. Health Hut NZ Limited accept no liability for the refund/replacement of any goods or any costs relating to, or arising from, the importation or confiscation of any goods by your countries Customs Office or other government body. Any import duty or tax payable on your order is not our responsibility and is beyond our control. If an order is returned to us by your countries import authorities in resalable condition, we’ll refund you the value of the order less any postage costs incurred to us. We can’t provide a refund or store credit until we’ve received the products back. We don’t provide refunds or store credit on parcels that are detained or confiscated at your countries customs due to containing items which are prohibited.

Liability

We accept no liability for any goods lost in transit outside of New Zealand. We’ve been sending goods all over the world for many years and have had very few problems. We recommend you contact your local Customs Office for further information on import regulations in your country.

This web site does not contain information about all diseases, nor does this web site contain all medical information that may be relevant. All content provided in this website is only general health information and is only intended to facilitate communication between you and your healthcare provider.

You acknowledge, by your use of this website, that your use of this website is at your sole risk, that you assume full responsibility for all risk associated with any of your use of this website, including responsibility for all costs associated with all necessary servicing or repairs of any equipment you use in connection with your use of this web site.

Limitation on Liability

As partial consideration for your use of and access to this web site, you agree that:

  • in no event will Health Hut or any other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering this web site or any site linked to this website, be liable to you in any manner whatsoever for any decision made or action or non-action taken by you in reliance upon the information provided through this web site; and
  • the aggregate liability of Health Hut, or any of its distributors or dealers, arising from or relating to this agreement (regardless of the form of action or claim, e.g. contract, warranty, tort, strict liability, negligence, malpractice, fraud, and/or otherwise) is limited to the purchase price of any products your purchased from Health Hut in the relevant transaction; and
  • Health Hut shall not in any case be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, even if health hut has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be illegal or unenforceable, then such section shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder (including any revised portion of the agreement) shall remain and have full force and effect.

We reserve the right to make changes to any and all aspects of this HutPoints programme without notice. This includes, but is not limited to, changes to:

  • The amount of HutPoints awarded for various actions, including stopping awarding HutPoints for some/all actions altogether, or adding new qualifying actions at any time
  • The length of time after which any unused HutPoints will expire.
  • Whether or not we send you any particular email notifications about the HutPoints programme, including notifying you in advance of the expiry of your HutPoints
  • Your participation in the HutPoints programme and the administration of your HutPoints balance is entirely at our discretion. We reserve the right to cancel your account or adjust your HutPoints balance without notice or explanation.
  • If you earn HutPoints for an order which is subsequently cancelled or amended for any reason, we reserve the right to reverse some or all of the HutPoints earned at our discretion.
  • If you earn HutPoints for referring additional customers, we reserve the right to review these new customer accounts, and reverse some or all of the HutPoints earned at our discretion.
  • HutPoints are not legal tender and are in no way redeemable for cash or any other benefit except via their proper and intended use as outlined here. They are redeemable exclusively on healthhut.co.nz, and entirely at our discretion.
  • HutPoints balances are not transferable under any circumstances.
  • Your use of the HutPoints programme indicates your acceptance of these terms of use.
